July 2023

Why do it?

This is my mate Graham. In July 2021, he was diagnosed with a sarcoma in his chest. Despite the dire prognosis, and with the help and support of his family, he fought it hard as was his way. In December 2021, they discovered cancer in his brain, he died the following January. In his final weeks, he wanted a challenge to hold onto and to raise some money for charity, that challenge was to run from John O'Groats to Lands End. I am going to cycle, run and walk it on his behalf and hopefully raise a some money for Cancer Research in his memory.

The route from north to south is 1000 miles and will be mainly following national cycle routes. The distance will be completed by cycling, running and walking each leg in rotation, the idea being that anybody that wishes to join me on a leg has the option of choosing a running leg, a cycling leg or a walking leg.

The full itinerary is shown below and if anyone does wish to take part, please use the contact buttons in the itinerary section, detailing which leg you would like to participate in. Similarly, I am also looking for support in transporting kit in between legs and if anyone would like to volunteer for a particular leg or series of legs, again, please use the contact buttons below.
